Junior Specialist, Accounts Receivable

As a Junior Specialist, Accounts Receivable at Hiab, you’ll play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow by ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming payments. From posting cash receipts and resolving mismatches to supporting the Credit & Collections team, your work will help keep our financial systems in balance and our customer relationships strong.
This role is a great opportunity to learn the full cycle of accounts receivable in a dynamic, international environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience with accounting systems, collaborate across teams, and support month-end closing and reporting activities. Main tasks and responsibilities:
Process and post cash receipts; apply all payments to the accounts receivable subledger; make necessary adjustments in the accounting system.
Manage and resolve remittance mismatch or cash application issues.
Investigate + correct unallocated/unapplied AR payments; support to Credit and Collections team.
Researches unapplied payments;
Perform timely and accurate application of daily receipts;
Process payment return items and insufficient funds;
AR Subledgers closing performed in a timely manner as per HIAB OTC and RTR agreed policy.
Daily ServiceNow ticket support.
Support the Supervisor/TL in the communication / escalation process to ensure alignment of interested parties.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Education
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics
Experience (or within the last year of the
0-1 years of experience in an international environment in the finance field
Competencies

Good communication and organisational skills
Time Management
Ability to prioritise
Logical thinking
Process oriented mindset
Strong analytical skills
SAP experience is a plus
Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Charts), Powerpoint and process mapping tools
Full professional proficiency of written and oral English
