Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the implementation and enforcement of company HSE policies and procedures across the project site;
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, internal trainings, and regular safety inspections;
- Coordinate high-risk work activities and supervise their safe execution in accordance with safety protocols and PPE requirements;
- Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and verify that all machinery and equipment meet HSE requirements;
- Support in incident and near-miss investigations, contribute to root cause analysis, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting;
- Promote the company’s Life Saving Rules and safety culture, and ensure consistent HSE reporting aligned with corporate standards;
- Act as liaison with other companies and stakeholders operating on-site to ensure unified HSE practices;
- Prepare, track, and report HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for ongoing operational activities;
- Attend client safety meetings. Respond to correspondence related to safety issues and requirements;
- Monitor proper storage, labeling, and handling of hazardous materials, chemicals, and fuels on-site;
- Maintain updated inventory lists of:
- Fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and spill response kits
- Lifting and access equipment (e.g., slings, belts, chains, ladders, platforms), along with required certifications and documentation
- Collect and archive HSE-related documents for rented or owned machines and vehicles, as well as site personnel records;
- Supervise hygiene and housekeeping standards across site vehicles, offices, locker rooms, sanitary facilities, canteens, and security posts;
- Ensure sufficient availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and working clothes in the site warehouse;
- Oversee waste management on-site: verify the availability, correct labeling, and proper use of waste containers;
- Organize securing and signage of excavations and danger zones on site.
Requirements:
- Secondary or higher education in construction, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field;
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay for prolonged periods on project sites across Europe;
- Good command of English, both written and spoken is mandatory;
- Prior experience in a safety-related position is considered a strong advantage;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in multicultural environments;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Possession of a valid Category B driver’s license.
