We are looking for a proactive and curious individual to join us as a Junior Expert in IT Service and Security Operations. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience across system monitoring and security operations. You will Join a cross functional team where strong critical thinking skills are essential for effective event recognition, investigation, and escalation.
The main responsibilities for the position are:
· Assist in monitoring IT systems and security platforms to ensure service availability and timely incident detection.
· Perform initial alert validation and escalate issues in accordance with established procedures.
· Maintain accurate documentation and records related to incidents, platform health, and recurring operational checks.
· Participate in routine tool operations, including system checks, basic ticket handling, and reporting activities.
· Learn and follow operational playbooks and runbooks under appropriate supervision.
· Analyze and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in a structured manner.
· Identify potential security risks and contribute to mitigation efforts.
· Monitor the performance and overall effectiveness of security systems and controls.
Our requirements:
· Cause and effect thinking applied to recognizing critical IT and cybersecurity events.
· Willingness to learn monitoring platforms, detection tools, and structured operational workflows.
· Familiarity with enterprise-grade monitoring, detection, and incident handling tools.
· Attention to detail, good communication, and a collaborative mindset.
· Ability to follow predefined procedures and grow with guidance.
· Strong foundational knowledge of incident response techniques for identifying, isolating, and mitigating security incidents, including the ability to map activities to the MITRE ATT&CK framework and align processes with ITIL practices.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
Advantage (Considered a Plus):
· Experience in IT Operations or Security operations within financial institutions, with focus on monitoring environments.
· Knowledge of IT tool governance, controls, and audit readiness.
