About the Company DevriX is a leading digital solutions company working with Fortune 500 subsidiaries, multinational publishers, and high-traffic digital platforms, processing over 2 billion monthly page views. We build sophisticated web applications, data pipelines, analytics platforms, and custom solutions for enterprise clients operating at massive scale. We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong PHP and Python skills who can work across traditional web development and modern cloud infrastructure. You’ll build client-facing applications while bridging web platforms with data engineering work. This is a full-time on-site role at our Sofia, Bulgaria office.What You’ll Do- Build and maintain full-stack web applications for enterprise clients (PHP/WordPress primary stack)
- Develop APIs and integrations connecting web platforms to data warehouses, CRM systems, and third-party services
- Work with both relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and cloud data platforms (BigQuery)
- Create admin panels, dashboards, and reporting interfaces for data-driven applications
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices for client applications
- Deploy and maintain applications on cloud infrastructure (AWS primary, with some Google Cloud Platform work)
- Write Python scripts for data processing, automation, and pipeline work
- Collaborate with data engineers to build end-to-end solutions from web apps through data pipelines
- Support platforms generating millions of daily events and hundreds of millions of monthly users
- Work with JavaScript for frontend components and interactivity
- Advanced cloud architecture on AWS and Google Cloud Platform
- Data pipeline development and integration with BigQuery and data warehouses
- Modern DevOps practices – Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containerization
- Working at scale with systems processing millions of events daily
- Enterprise client management and Fortune 500 company workflows
- Bridging web development and data engineering – a rare and valuable skillset)
- Strong PHP skills – you’re comfortable with WordPress, modern PHP frameworks, or custom PHP applications
- Python proficiency – you can write scripts for data processing, automation, and backend services
- SQL proficiency – complex queries, database design, optimization
- JavaScript/Frontend – comfortable with vanilla JS and building interactive interfaces
- RESTful API design – you’ve built and consumed APIs
- Git workflows – branching, pull requests, code reviews
- Understanding of web security basics – authentication, authorization, input validation
- Problem-solving mindset – you debug systematically and think about edge cases
- Ownership mentality – you care about code quality and follow through on your work
- Communication skills – you can explain technical decisions to clients and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have (We’ll Help You Develop These Skills!)
- AWS experience – EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, or other AWS services
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Deep experience with WordPress – themes, plugins, or core WordPress development
- Understanding of data pipelines or ETL/ELT concepts
- Docker or containerization experience
- Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines – GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins
- Familiarity with BigQuery or cloud data warehouses
- Understanding of data modeling for analytics
- Experience with event-driven architectures or message queues
- Open Source contributions – WordPress, PHP, Python, or other communities
- Exposure to serverless functions (Lambda, Cloud Functions)
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
