The freight forwarder works directly with clients with the aim to provide them with the most cost- efficient, most reliable, safest, and fastest transportation of their cargo from A to B. This includes creating an entire arrangement of a transport service and making sure all the aspects of it are covered.

Responsibilities

• Effectively arrange and oversee road transports for FTLs and LTLs in the scope of Europe
• Assure timely delivery by planning and selecting the most appropriate routes based on the clients’ needs, transit time, and the nature of the goods
• Prepare and check the entire paperwork regarding each transport accurately, including customs clearance documentation, other countries’ regulation requirements, insurance policies, packing specifications, bills of lading, etc.
• Resolve any arising issues during the transport
• Throughout all the phases of the service assist and inform all the concerned parties with the relevant information
• Negotiate shipping rates and contracts, make offers, request freight quotations while considering the shipments’ and trucks’ requirements
• Strive to optimize and expand the business

Qualifications

• Previous work experience on a similar position is a plus
• Excellent written and spoken command of English
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Logistics or similar
• Analytical, problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
