Location - Sofia, Hybrid, 3 days in office per week For one of our clients - Fintech company in crypto area, we are looking for Freelance Senior Python Engineer.

Job Description You will have opportunities to design, build, test, and scale robust Python backend services and APIs. You'll have the opportunity to build new services from the ground up, tackle concurrency challenges, deploy to the cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), champion clean code and TDD, and collaborate across teams.

Requirements:

• Either: 5+ years of professional Python development.
• Or: 5+ years in Java, C++, or .NET, with demonstrated ability/portfolio projects showing a transition to Python and a strong willingness to quickly learn and master Python.

Core Skills:

• Clean and concise communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
• Strong Python development skills (or ability to rapidly acquire).
• Proven ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Good understanding of Python concurrency models.
• Hands-on TDD experience (pytest/unittest).
• Practical Docker experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Solid grasp of CS fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Git.

Mindset: Great problem-solver, team player, and a willingness and ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with web frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• CI/CD pipeline knowledge.
• System design experience.
• Basic understanding of front-end tech (React/Vue/Angular, etc.).
• Interest or experience in cryptocurrency, trading, or finance.
• Worked in Agile/Scrum environments.
