About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our remote freelance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background with deep expertise in Python development and data-centric applications.

This role requires hands-on experience with asynchronous programming, data transformation, and relational databases. You will be working on complex backend systems that involve processing, transforming, and managing large datasets. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL) for data modeling, queries, and optimization.
• Build data transformation pipelines for complex data processing.
• Develop asynchronous systems using AsyncIO, Celery, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Operate in a Linux-based development environment.

Requirements:

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer / Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer.
• Strong technical expertise in Python (minimum 5 years of hands-on experience).
• Solid experience with relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Strong experience in building data transformation pipelines.
• Proven experience in asynchronous programming (AsyncIO, Celery, FastAPI, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Flask or FastAPI frameworks.
• Experience working on Linux-based systems in commercial environments.
• Fluent in EN

Nice to Have:

• Experience with columnar databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Apache Druid, Apache --Pinot, MariaDB ColumnStore, SAP HANA, Vertica, Apache Cassandra, Apache Cudo, MonetDB, IBM DB2).
• Experience working with Big Data systems or transferring large-scale datasets.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and data streaming solutions.
