Synergon Energy Ltd. is a licensed energy trader and coordinator of a standard balancing group.
As part of our continued growth and internal business needs, we are looking to hire a Energy Portfolio Analyst to monitor forecasts and market data, execute day-ahead and intraday orders and schedules, optimize trading positions against balancing risks, and prepare settlement and regulatory reports while supporting the integration of renewable energy sources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Execute day-ahead and intraday trading activities, including order submission on IBEX. · Monitor weather, production, and consumption forecasts to support trading and balancing decisions. · Analyze and improve forecasting accuracy for generation and consumption portfolios. · Manage generation assets and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in a dynamic operating environment. · Support the optimization of trading positions in relation to balancing risks and market conditions. · Allocate physical and financial settlement among participants in the balancing group. · Contribute to the development and improvement of pricing, forecasting, and decision-support models and tools. · Prepare settlement, operational, and regulatory reports as required.

REQUIREMENTS
· A University degree (or final semester status) in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. We value academic foundations but prioritize your ability to apply that knowledge. · Fluent in English and Bulgarian. · Knowledge of energy market structure, products, and regulatory frameworks is considered an advantage but is not required. · Excellent command of MS Excel and knowledge of macros will be considered an advantage. · Knowledge of any programming language will be considered a plus.
