Director of Sales

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales team and drive strategic initiatives to achieve revenue growth, market share expansion, and long-term profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in sales management (preferably in the hospitality industry), and the ability to build and maintain high-value client relationships.

The Director of Sales will work closely with the Cluster Director of Sales and Revenue Director of Sales to ensure alignment of strategies, optimize revenue opportunities, and support cross-property initiatives. This collaborative approach is essential to maximizing performance and ensuring a cohesive commercial strategy across the cluster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets across all market segments (e.g., MICE (focus), Sports (focus), leisure, corporate etc.).
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance, motivation, and goal alignment.
  • Keeps sales team accountable for meeting company and individual sales goals
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and key accounts.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and business performance to adjust strategies and maximize impact.
  • Analyzes mid- and long-term business demand, proactively suggests appropriate sale actions to ensure financial objectives are met
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate forecasts, sales reports, and annual sales budgets.
  • Collaborate with marketing, revenue, and operational teams to ensure brand alignment and revenue optimization.
  • Represent the property at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to promote the brand and expand the customer base.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and brand guidelines.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Experience in large volume multi-segment full-service hotel with MICE focus
  • BG and ENG with additional languages being a plus
  • Eligible to live and work in Bulgaria (in case we post on Linked In)
  • Familiar with hotel and sales IT systems
