COGS Team Lead
Are you ready to lead a high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional financial analysis and insights? Do you have the expertise to drive cost optimization and profitability through strategic planning and period-end processes? We are looking for a Senior Team Lead for our Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) team to take ownership of our COGS planning, reporting, and analysis.
As a part of our Costing & Controlling Team
You will be responsible for accurate accounting of company’s inventory, as well as calculation and analysis of its direct production costs. You would be able to work in a very friendly fast-paced environment, side by side with colleagues responsible for different countries in Coca Cola Hellenic group, sharing knowledge and gaining an excellent experience.
Our new team member needs to have:
5+ Years of Controlling/Accounting Experience, preferably in fast-moving, multinational environments and are ready to apply your expertise in a high-impact role.
Educational Foundation: You hold a degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field—giving you the knowledge base to hit the ground running.
1-3 years of People Management Experience: You are skillful in delivering results through others while ensuring their professional development
ERP Expertise: You have hands-on experience with ERP systems and know how to navigate them efficiently. Bonus points if you’re familiar with SAP.
Excel Mastery: You master Excel to manage and analyze data, optimize workflows, and create meaningful reports.
Fluency in English: You communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues across countries and functions.
Results-Driven Mindset: You’re always focused on delivering high-quality results with accuracy, and attention to detail and thrive on meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
A Proactive Problem Solver: When challenges come up, you take initiative, leveraging your expertise and skills to resolve issues before they grow.
You can be successful in this role if you have experience with:
Period-end Closings: Oversee the accurate and timely execution of the period-end closing process in the Costing and Profitability Area, ensuring seamless integration with other finance functions.
Transfer Pricing Management: Ensure precise and timely calculation, analysis, and reporting of intercompany transfer prices to support business decisions and ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
COGS Planning: Lead COGS planning for RE, ABP, and Profit Flash, ensuring timely delivery with insightful analysis and recommendations for optimization.
Comprehensive Analyses: Take ownership of comprehensive period-end COGS analysis, preparing detailed Raw & Pack variance analysis with appropriate narratives and actionable insights for senior leadership.
Financial Reporting: Manage the preparation of monthly, annual, and ad-hoc financial reports, ensuring all deliverables are met in accordance with established timetables and quality standards.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Lead the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process within the costing area, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the COGS function, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Performance Management: Oversee team performance, providing regular feedback, setting clear objectives, and driving continuous improvement to meet both individual and departmental goals.
Cross-functional Partnership: Foster strong alignment and collaboration with country finance teams in managing the COGS planning process, ensuring coordination on timelines, inputs, adjustments, and final analysis for global consistency.
Compliance & Controlls: Review, evaluate, and continuously improve internal controls and procedures within the COGS function, ensure strict adherence to CCH, local policies, legislation, and internal compliance standards.
