BUSINESS / FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

If you are striving to maximizes business performance by working closely alongside, supporting, challenging and influencing the business, we are offering you the right opportunity to apply your experience and contribute to our success by joining our team in Sofia as a Business/Financial Controller.

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Supports the short and long-term business planning cycle of the company and budget updates;
  • Advises and provides guidance for the decision making via strong business cases, scenario modelling and relevant insights;
  • Monitors actual cost development vs Budget and provides early warnings on deviations;
  • Monitors and analyzes activities with financial impact in the stores (accruals, stock adjustments, inventory differences, etc.);
  • Ensures respective risks are managed throughout the year and proposes mitigating actions;
  • Proactively identifies cost saving opportunities;
  • Participates in projects related to top line growth, resource allocation and cost-reduction;
  • Supports month-end and year-end closing processes;
  • Prepares various management reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Informatics or other relevant;
  • 3+ years of relevant experience on a similar position, preferably in Retail / FMCG industries;
  • Good business acumen and understanding of commercial processes;
  • Strive for continuous learning and professional development;
  • Pro-active attitude with strong focus on business partnering and team work;
  • Proven analytical skills with attention to details that drives decision making;
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to set priorities and multitask under pressure;
  • Highly proficient in MS Office; Experience with SAP and databases is considered an advantage;
  • Excellent language skills in English and/ or Good command of German language.
