Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of primary accounting documents related to income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, including direct and reinsurance transactions.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS 17, IFRS 9, and other applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate accounting records for premium income, claims, reserves, insurance transactions, and administrative expenses.
- Record and reconcile bank account transactions and statements.
- Process payments related to claims, premium refunds, suppliers, and external parties in coordination with relevant departments.
- Support timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare, review, and analyze tax reports.
- Manage incoming invoices and verify compliance with contractual agreements.
- Prepare and issue non-premium outgoing invoices.
- Verify the accuracy of cost center allocations.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations.
- Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Review and correct accounting entries in coordination with management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow reports and analyses.
- Coordinate and support the annual fixed asset inventory process.
- Prepare management reports and analyses as required.
- Participate in the preparation of audit documentation and support external and internal audit processes.
- Contribute to Finance & Accounting projects, including IFRS, SAP, process improvement, and system implementation initiatives.
- Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Experience working with IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
