The Role: Finance and Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Finance and Accounting Specialist to oversee a wide range of financial processes within our operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and timely preparation of reports for our headquarters in Turkey.

You should have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of local accounting standards, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic retail environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely booking of all HQ and store-related transactions
• Perform month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Track and reconcile store cash operations
• Record inventory and fixed asset transactions and perform related reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with tax declarations and stay current with tax legislation
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with local regulations and Group Accounting Policy
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for HQ
• Manage treasury functions, including cash flow and bank reconciliations
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits
• Handle financial applications to public authorities and manage legal documentation
• Ensure document archiving is compliant with legal requirements and company standards

Required Qualifications and Skills

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (retail experience is a strong advantage)
• In-depth knowledge of local accounting and tax legislation
• Experience with ERP systems (Navision, MS Axapta, or D365) is an advantage.
• Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills, and a results-oriented mindset
• Ability to thrive in a multinational and multicultural team environment
