We are looking for the right person for the following vacancy:
Image Quality Engineer
Job Description
- Define detailed technical requirements and metrics for image quality
- Run image and video quality evaluations and verifications
- Capture images and conduct subjective image quality analysis
- Adopt, improve and create procedures for Image quality tuning, improvement and verification
- Perform lab tests for objective camera evaluation
- Provide PoC of solutions on simulated or target environment
- Work closely with development team to implement and optimize code for image analysis and processing
- Support development team through iterative testing
Must have:
- Understanding of conventional camera pipelines & operations and why they are necessary: sharpening, denoising, HDR & image fusion concepts, compression & video coding, etc.
- Excellent knowledge in color science, image processing and image quality
- Experience working with subjective image quality
- Working knowledge of IQ attribute such as color, tone, noise, and sharpness
- C, C++ or Python knowledge and experience
- Ability to develop software algorithms to assess and improve image quality
- Focus on details, with strong analytical skills
- University degree in Computer science (or equivalent)
- Excellent English and good communication skills
- Self-managed, strong self-organization skills, and is eagerness to contribute
- Good knowledge in photography and image quality
- Experience working in the camera software optimization field
- Knowledge of image processing procedures
- Experience in Photoshop and/or other image processing software
- Knowledge/experience working on Automotive projects
